I've added a new image to my Commercial Aviation gallery. It is an Air Inuit Boeing B-737-200 complete with real jet engines and the gravel kit to allow the aircraft to be operated from rough runways. The aircraft also sports a very vivid livery.

Today was a sunny and warm day here and it would have been a shame to not take the camera on a drive to capture some images. I pointed my car in the direction of Lockport to see what could be seen.
The trip was pleasant and produced several images which I've uploaded to my Nature and Still Life galleries.
In the Nature Gallery you will find a new Pumpkin & Squash image taken at a local farmer's market. The variety of squash and pumpkins was overwhelming as was the sheer quantity of each. Also in my Nature Gallery you will find a new image of a gull perching on a fence at Lockport. He or she seemed pleased to be out in the Sun and posed for me while I fiddled with my camera. Lastly, there is a new image called Autumn On The Red River which I like a lot as it captures the changing of the season.

I managed to get out to the Western Canada Aviation Museum where the B-17 bomber "Sentimental Journey" was on display. There were huge crowds making it difficult to get a good photo but I think I managed to get at least this one. Enjoy!
A B-17 bomber called Sentimental Journey pays a visit to CYWG / Winnipeg. It will be here on display for several days at the Western Canada Aviation Museum. I hope to get there sometime this week and take some photos of the aircraft on the ground.

There are two new images in my commercial aviation gallery. They are both Boeing B-737's but they are quite different from each other.
The first is an Air Inuit B-737-200 fitted with the gravel kit. You can see the distinctive nose gear and deflection panel on this aircraft. This gear prevents rocks from being flung up into the body of the aircraft and into the jet engines. Being an older 200 model, the engines are pure jet engines from a bygone era.

The second image is a Canadian North B-737-300 retrofitted with winglets. This aircraft has a beautiful and distinctive livery. The tail sports a Polar Bear and the aircraft is powered by newer turbofan engines.

I hope you enjoy seeing these two different versions of an aircraft that has stood the test of time. Newer variants of the 737 are on the drawing board and will soon take to the skies.
